3D Printable Cloth Mask No Sewing Actually Usable

This is a 3D printable Cloth Mask no Sewing required.

everyone so badly wants a 3D printed mask and they are just not safe. this one is.

the 3D printed parts are just to replace the need for sewing if you really really want to 3D print it instead of sewing.

3 parts doubled one set for each side. you will need a piece of cloth and some elastic. (good source is a used up disposable mask!!)

the "block or body" prints normally 4 top and bottom at 0.24 layer height 2 perimeters. you can use 3 if you want it will just be a little heavier.

the "bite" is the teeth to hold the cloth in the block prints in VASE mode.

the "pin" is the pressure bar (also vase mode) that both holds and presses the bit bar in place and provide passage to run your elastic through.

measure your cloth. place over your face like a mask. cover your nose run "UNDER" your chin almost to your neck. grab this point remove from your face. this point you grabbed. CUT the cloth along a line equal to that point you grabbed it.

work cloth into the slot on the body block just on corner once through just tug it all through. the bars should for a light "V" shape with the top being shorter than the bottom (you can adjust this later)

one cloth is in place work the bite bar in. you will see there is a slot for it inside. once its in wiggle it around to even things out and slide the pressure pin into place. to hold it all together.

run elastic through the hole and repeat for the others side.

put it over your face hole :-) hehe you can tug the cloth top and bottom edges to adjust for a good fit.

to clean. ipa for the plastic toss the cloth in with the wash. 2 hours or when damp change it out (IE print 2 or 3 sets)

pressure pin and bite bar are vase mode NO top or bottom layers.

print the body block as 4 top and bottom layers 2 perimeters.

or print it in abs and just toss the whole thing in the wash. let me know how that works if you try it depending on how bad the washing machine beats it up it might yank the cloth out or not. the parts themselves should be fine in ABS.

if your cloth is thin or the bite bar does not push hard enough try the "tough" pin included its a little stiffer.
