Instructions

This is an update to the original toothpaste squeezer 63mm (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:376166). This one has an added lock that keeps the tube from unwinding. It is best to use this apparatus after you have squeezed out about 1/4 of the tube to help it get a good start. Also fixed the gap between the knob and the shaft that weakened the crank. Thanks for the tip on this flaw from andywalk and adcurtin.

As shown by the layout diagram it is usually best to print most of this one with the parts standing on end to avoid having to use supports. So far it has printed "OK". Here is a video of how it works (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ks2lySTKB8&feature=youtu.be).

The squeezer is easily assembled (the original was printed all as one piece which while cool sometimes was difficult to get the pieces apart) by using the clips made for the inside of the body and the outside end piece.

To assemble simply slide the turning rod through the body assembly and use the large clip to slide into the slot just on the inside of the body nearest the adjusting gear.
Put the other clip on the outside end of the turning rod (this part isn't as necessary since the inside clip holds it all, but I just thought it would add a little support).
Place the small pin through the lock and with the lock facing the gear and the hole portion of the lock facing downward, push the pin into the small hole located on the edge of the body just outside the area of the gear.

Load your tube from the outside of the body through the 63mm slot, and align the inside rod slot with the body slot and push the tube through both slots. When the tube protrudes slightly through the rod slot you can begin turning the gear knob in a clockwise motion to wrap the tube on the rod. Flip the lock toward the gear and let it fall between each of the gear teeth as you adjust to hold tension on the tube and prevent it from unwinding.
