LumiDome magnifier holder

LumiDomes are terrific ball-shaped 3X magnifiers that are useful and fun -- they're great for the kids, too!

What I particularly like about them is that you can view a much larger area without moving the lens than you could with a regular magnifying glass -- you do have to move your head around, but the magnifier can be held in the same spot and does not need to be rotated.

You can get the 3-inch version from RadioShack for about $6.

I made a stand to hold my dome so that I can use it for quick soldering jobs on tiny components.
