Pick and Place Component Feeder PnP OpenPNP

A kit of parts to create a pick and place component feeder for 8mm, 12mm and 16mm surface mount component tapes.

The kits features mounts for motors and a PCB to allow the feeder to be automated. A servo motor performs the movement to push the surface mount component tape through the mechanism. A stepper motor performs the movement to remove the film from the component tape.

The Control PCB features a RS485 interface to allow control from a computer terminal that can be daisy chaned to a large number of feeder units. The control PCB also features an IR photo reflector which can be used to automatically detect the Pick and Place nozzle coming and picking a part from the tape.
