A More Secure Raspberry Pi Case
On a recent project, I needed a more secure case for a Raspberry Pi. The project called for a Raspberry Pi to be semi-permanently mounted inside of a cabinet at a public venue. The security needs were as follows.
- Case halves secured together by screws
- SD card fully enclosed to prevent removal
- Case needed to have mounting points
- GPIO pins needed to be easily accessible
There were plenty of options out there, but none had all of the elements I needed. So I spent a few hours modifying an existing case I found here on Thingiverse. I have included the Sketchup file incase anyone else wants to tinker with it more.
I also included printing tabs that help prevent warping. These can be easily removed with an Xacto knife or a pair of needle nose pliers.
Many thanks to SKG for his / her original design!
