Cut lines for Shibori, Tie Dye created at Arimatsu Shibori x Digital Fabrication Workshop in Nagoya

These plates designed at a workshop on the 13th of Sep. 2014 are parts to dye a typical Japanese towel, called Tenugui in Japanese. Folded cotton cloth, put between the plates are prevented from dying inside by wooden pieces to make a pattern on fabric. Please download them and Make your own cloth!!

2014年9月13日に行われた「有松絞り×デジタルファブリケーション・ワークショップ」で、板締め絞りのための版木をデザインすることから手ぬぐいを制作しました。蛇腹に折りたたまれた布を版木で挟むことで染料が中に浸透することを防ぎパターンを生み出す、板締め絞りという技法です。
