Summary

This is a fully customizable handle originally derived from MakerCubed's parametric handle. This has been fixed up a little and formatted to work with the Thingiverse customizer. The handle size, grip, handle guard, hole shape and hole depth are fully customizable.

Instructions

This was originally designed to fit a cylindrical shaft. However, this version can also fit a square or hexagonal shaft (also triangular or octagonal, but these are less likely to occur).

For example you can create your own stubby screwdriver by creating a short handle and fitting a standard screwdriver bit, such as those used by automatic screwdrivers. You can make a handle to fit a standard hexagonal screwdriver bit by specifying Hole_Shape as "Hexagon" and setting Hole_Diameter to about 7.2. (You might need to tweak this number slightly).

For a smooth handle, without ridges, set Grip_Elements to 0.

Set the Hole_Depth to 0 and Guard_Diameter to about 50, and you have yourself an espresso tamper.

Please note that, for non-cylindrical hole shapes, the parameter Hole_Diameter actually refers the diameter of a circle which would be circumscribed around the shape. For example if you choose a square hole, Hole_Diameter is actually the diagonal corner-to-corner distance of the square, or about 1.414 * the length of the square's edge.
