Sections Through Virtual Reality Goggles for Android Smartphone

Some people have found the fit to the face a bit small. I wanted a way to check this without printing the whole housing. I also wanted to check how well my phone would fit to the housing.

So, I produced a couple of sections through the main housing (with OpenSCAD). The first is a 2mm thick section of the curve which fits to the head, the second is a 1mm thick section of the front face which fits to the phone.

On my printer they take around 20 minutes each to print, rather than 5 hours for the whole housing.
