Lately I've been experimenting by making 3D printable jewelry using photos of DC graffiti and Shapeways' 2D Design to 3D Print Creator: https://www.shapeways.com/creator/2dto3d#landing
I used a photo I took of graffiti saying "you are love" near Union Market and turned it into a pendant and some beads. Both items can be printed without supports.
