Rahtro 3.75 inch Articulated Action Figure Space Robot Alien Planetary Explorer Modules Elektrobot Dan Dare
This is a 3.75 inch / 1:18 scale action figure named "Rahtro". Is it a robot? Is it an alien? Maybe both? We don't know for sure, yet... His shoulders are mostly armor, I don't think he's been working out THAT much... Needs to spend more (any?) time building leg strength, though!
Just found out that the metal figurine this figure is based on is in fact an Elektrobot from the british Dan Dare series by Frank Hampson!
So possibly, Rahtro is a robot, buried for many years after the defeat of his evil master Mekon, who now has to make sense of his place in the world without being controlled by his evil master!
This version has 4 points of articulation (arms and legs move) - head (or is that a helmet?) is fixed in place.
BOTH hands can hold things, like a blaster or a walkie-talkie!
The arms and legs can pop in to pretty much any 5 mm diameter hole.
This guy fits into any of the Planetary Explorer Module spaceships among my other designs. Will also fit into various other sci-fi ships and vehicles that share the same 1:18 scale.
I added the non-articulated version also in case you just want to make him as a statue or figurine. Also added a photo of the sculpture I saw that inspired him.
I have a few of these up for sale here: https://www.petesactionfigures.com/product/3d-printed-action-figure-star-space-robot-alien-made-in-usa-3-75-in-rahtro-fun
