Summary

A spool holder designed to fit on the 1lb spool that comes with the MakerBot Replicator 2 and hold unspooled filament such as Faberdashery PLA filament.

Instructions

Clip 3 of these spool holder parts onto a 1lb MakerBot material spool like the ones that ship with the Replicator 2. Make sure all of the printed clips are on the side of the spool furthest from the machine to stop it catching the parts on the back of the Bot. You will also want to mount the spool on the left hand side of the Bot, when viewed from the front (opposite side of the Bot to the power switch), so that it does not catch the power cable. As this will be a larger diameter than the usual spools you can leave the filament guide tube on the right hand side, when viewed from the front, of the extruder cable.

This will hold unspooled plastic filament like the filament available from Faberdashery.
This part was designed and tested on the Replicator 2 using Faberdashery material .
