Eco FPV / DIY FPV Goggles - Monitor mount & additional parts
Following some very good discussions on FPV forums, I decided to purchase a ECO FPV Goggle set from flyingwings.co.uk.
The kit comes with 2 EPO foam shells and requires a monitor to be installed at the flat end of the "box".
This Thing includes:
- The backplate which suites the below listed monitor for a plug&play fit (follow the pictures included above to see how it drops in - a bit of double sided tape between monitor and PCB will hold it in place even better). The backplate is a press fit after the end of the EPO housing and does not require any glue to keep it in place.
- Strap supports to secure the strap (glue it in place, use one support inside the goggle and one on the outside on top of the strap and secure with 2 zip ties)
- the_muck's excellent fresnel holder to replace the flimsy plastic sheet holder that comes with the kit (Please check out his original thing here http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:380776)
- The ECO EPO Goggle kit can be found here: http://www.flyingwings.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=411
- 5'' Monitor used for a plug & play fit can be found here: http://www.dx.com/p/diy-hd-5-tft-lcd-display-and-parts-module-black-blue-silver-480-x-800-202988#.VEMdiPmUfgc
- On top of that you can buy a better quality fesnel lens from ebay (just search for it, multiple sizes and options are available)
