Summary

LED arrangement with hinge for lighting the extrudertip on the Printrbot.
Also a holder for a 9V block battery if you don't want to take the power out of an USB port of an Raspberry Pi.

Instructions

In order to get it to work, you will need:

8 LEDs 5mm (colour of your choice)
some strips of wire
a button or switch
9V block battery
double sided tape
2 screws M4x10
block battery wire adapter
You use the screws to connect the two parts of the hinge. Then you will have to wire the LEDs. Ideally u will put all the kathodes in the center and then use the legs to connect them . Then you take the anode legs and connect them too. I used some hotglue to make sure they are insulated and stay in place. Now you want to wire the LEDs to the battery by using the battery adapter and the switch (or button). Make sure that your wires are long enough to reach around to the right side of the extruder, so you can simply glue the holder for the battery to the y-axis frame.
The printed parts were printed at a 0.1mm resolution, and took about 1:15h each.
