4 layers of acrylic sheets with different designs on each layer creating one whole design when layered on top of each other.

Instructions

I started out designing it as a whole drawing. Using a paint brush on illustrator I drew the “maze” part first. Then added a spiral shape, the dots that go along with it and then the small geometric maze. I did that over and over again until it filled up the paths throughout the maze. Each design is different in it’s own way, they may look similar and have the same general design to it but none are alike. All except for the dots obviously, the only difference in them are their sizes and the direction their path is going. After I completed the design I then selected each alike shapes and put them on four layers. The first layer is the “maze”, the second layer makes up the dots, the third layer is made up of the swirls and the fourth layer is made up of the small geometric shapes. I then pasted each layer into 4 separate documents and sent them to the laser printer. After the designs were done rastering into the acrylic, I layered them on top of each other to create a sort of 3D effect to the project. Once I decided the order of the layers I glued them together.
