Galaxy Tab 4 7.0" stand
This is a modified version of Thing 184920, a Galaxy Tab 2 stand. I simply adapted it for the Tab 4.
- Speaker ports removed. The 4 has no speakers there.
- Slightly narrowed to fit the slimmed-down later model.
- Connector space completly reworked - the tab 2 has a propritary dock connector, the tab 4 uses micro-USB. I've carefully (ie, eventually, in seven prints) shaped this to be an exact fit for the USB cable that comes with the tablet.
- Back reworked a little to use less filiment and print faster.
- Fixed some really bad geometry, like burried faces and assymetry.
It works pretty well. The only problem I found is that it's so lightweight, you can't actually get the tablet out with one hand - the extraction force for the USB connector is greater than the stand weight! I solved this by supergluing it to my desk. It's also a slightly imperfect fit, so you have to wiggle it a little to get the tablet in, but that's really standard for any tablet stand. They never seem to fit exactly, even the ones molded conventionally.
