Nulleinsteller Bitsetter 50mm

I have access to a CNC-Mill at my university, but they lack a bitsetter for setting the tool height. So I thought let's try and create one on my 3D printer. Since I don't need a micrometer precision, this should be enough for setting all tools to an equal height.

The design can probably be improved upon a lot and I might do so in the future, for now im quite happy with it though. It does it's job.

For printing i suggest to go for

  • 0.2mm layer height
  • 0.4mm nozzle
  • avoid crossing perimeters
  • seam position aligned
  • PLA works just fine, PETG if you wan't long lasting springiness (shouldn't really make a diff.)

Tip: Do a color change on the last 2 Layers so theres more contrast on the alignment cutouts.

PS.: You also can check your nozzle to bed distance with the device, still it's more an estimation than a measurement.
