Backshell for 5" LCD Panel
Notice I need to move the four mounting holes on the rear of the backshell, as they interfere with the buttons.
NEW
Woops, almost forgot the button extenders! Print 5 of these; you might have to clean up the print a little; it's a tight fit.
Also, I put a 1mm fillet on the outer edges and pushed the front and back side edges of the power socket opening.
I also made a Desktop stand for 5" LCD panel frame that attaches to the back of the backshell.
OLD
This part goes with the front bezel for 5" LCD display that I made for a 5" HDMI (no touch) LCD panel I got from Adafruit (they list it as a Raspberry Pi accessory). This is the back. I put 50-mm holes for mounting; you can fashion an arm or desktop stand, if you wish; I'm going to either hunt one down or make one if it doesn't already exist, and link to it here if necessary. I'll have to include some assembly instructions. The wires on the button board are larger gauge and a bit longer than required, so I would like to replace them. I'm not 100% totally sure, but they look like JST PHR-series, and should work with 24AWG in these crimp-contacts from Digi-Key.
Parts needed:
4 x 1/4" screws, (3)
2 x 1/4" countersink screws to attach the front panel.
- Thin craft foam (~1mm)
