A 3D printed dry electrode for biosignal acquisition.

Instructions

This is a template for electrodes rather than a proper electrode. This electrode is based on a paper (http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0924424711007151) using a 3D printed dry electrode to read biosignals (e.g. EEG, EMG, ECG, etc.). The researchers used Fullcure 720 instead of ABS, and there are some differences with the electrode detailed in the paper (such as prong size and distribution). What you would print is NOT capable of being used as an electrode on its own. You will need to put on other layers (such as titanium, silver, gold, etc.) through sputtering and evaporation after producing it. Check out the paper for more specific details. Likewise, the prongs may need to be lengthened by 1-3 mm if the subject is hairer. The resulting electrode compared favorably to disposable Ag/AgCl ones, is reusable, and able to detect a variety of different biosignals.
