Motor mount for multirotor quadcopter

This setup allows several types of motors to be mounted on round rods. The current setup is for a Turnigy 2830/11 brushless outrunner motor, and a 15mm carbon fiber rod.

I also use the same t-mounts to fix the rod to the quadcopter fuselage (you might be able to see that on the large photo).

One of the advantages of printing these parts is that they tend to fail on a crash, thereby breaking easily replaced printed parts rather than motors which must be replaced by mail order. I've deliberately made them only strong enough not to fail during normal flight; since using them I haven't had a motor bend or break on crashing, and quite often even the propellers survive while the X-mount breaks.

I'm aware that my quad looks like a pile of recycled garbage held together with rubber bands, thanks for pointing it out. It flies pretty well, costs very little, and it has already been built by people in Africa, whose access to fancy mail-order stuff is limited!

OpenSCAD files included in case you've got different sized motors or rods.
