Summary

I designed this "Better PCB poker" tool after trying Madox's PCB Poker for UP! 3D printer. I found that the pins used in Madox's poker kept bending on me, so I went about looking for something stronger, found these push pins to be just the thing. What I needed then was a holder to make it more comfortable to use, something like Madox's original PCB poker.

Instructions

Buy a box of push pins. The push pins I found (no particular type) have a maximum diameter of 8.75mm, and the plastic bit has a maximum depth of 12.65mm. This poker has been designed to accommodate such a push pin.
I used a file to file down the tip of the pin to be flat, rather than a sharp point so that it is less likely to simply dig into the ABS plastic. This greatly enhances it's poking power.
Print out the part (I printed it vertically), and then push the pin into the hole at the end. It should be firm, which is great because you won't need any glue and enough of the bottom lip of the push pin remains exposed so that you can use a small screwdriver to lever it out if you should break the pin off (unlikely unless you are really ham-fisted).
