Unless you own a fancy tape dispenser; you only have two options with tape. Either fold the end over and discard that piece when you need a new length. Or you can orbit the tape repeatedly, using eyes and fingernails to locate and pry up the tape end. I give you option three, the Tape Tap. Adhere the tape end to this tap and save yourself some trouble.

Instructions

Use SketchUp to push/pull to your desired tape width. Ideally the Tape Tap v2 will be a little bit wider than the tape you are tapping. The added serrations are approximately 10mm in width; so they shouldn't give you any trouble in sizing the Tape Tap v2.
Print and clean.
Tap your tape. When you use the tape, tap it with the Tape Tap v2 at the desired length. Use the top serration to tear the tape over the tap. Or use the Tape Tap v2 and its bottom serration for all your tape tearing tool tasks. For storage, lay the roll on it's side with the thumb grip facing up.
Do something incredible with the 5 to 10 seconds you save, next time you use the tape. Note, time spent applying bandages to finger cuts must be subtracted from overall time saved.

Post Print Note - No issues printing, it was fast and flat. I had to file out and sharpen both sets of teeth at the current size. I don't know how much tape you'll get through before the teeth are dull, but I doubt your fingers are in much danger.
