SD to IDE Adapter 5.25 Half Height Bracket - With or Without Storage
This is a very chonky SD to IDE bracket for filling a 5 1/4" drive bay. I hate when 3d printed things bend and flex, so this thing feels substantial.
v5 contains a notch to make inserting and removing sd cards easier. Also available with built-in sd storage.
It's recommended to print with tree supports and if you yank them right, the sd card holder trees will come out clean. If they don't a tiny flathead will get the filament out without issue.
I recommend this board: https://amzn.to/46MtCqW
I used these screws: https://amzn.to/3Q5X3wY
These boards vary from manufacturer and even board run, so I never put the holes in a fixed place. I make the design solid so you can drill your own 1/8 or 3mm holes and put your screws where they need to go. This thing has plenty of wiggle room for different screw patterns and sd slot placement.
Note, the last ones I got had solder sticking through the bottom, so I rest the front two mounting holes on 2 washers each and they line up perfectly. Again, more or less washers will let you dial it in however you want.
The board is biased to the left side to give you room to put your power connectors in and the right side is left empty so you can run the wire through the bottom if that's better for you.
