A ring of standing stones - an ancient construction. These are somewhat "scale-free" - but to an HO-scale figurine - they would be taller than you are - so the ring would be pretty impressive,

How I Designed This

Each surrounding rock started as a cube - stretched to change it's shape - then using 10x edge subdivision to make a high triangle mesh. In blender's sculpt mode - I went in and sculpted what looked like interesting shapes - destroying the obvious "cuboid" shape.

Each standing stone was then rotated a bit to make it look like they'd started to tilt over.

Finally, I used the boolean modifier to chop off the bottom of each rock to make it easy to glue to the ground.
