Case and lid for Tinkerkit T010010 Relay Module

This is a tailored version of my generic case improvement to davidmpye's generic case (box and lid). The tailored case is dimensioned to fit the Tinkerkit Relay Module, item T010010.

Based on my available mounting space, I needed to keep the case small. The basic box dimensions are 45mm x 55mm x 28mm. Holes for the lid mounting are sized for #4 1/4-inch pan head screws. Mounting flanges added to the 45mm sides are also sized for #4 screws. The mounting holes in the Tinkerkit relay module are small, so the internal board mounting standoffs are sized for use with #3-48 1/4-inch flat head screws. Flat head screws are used here in order to reduce the length of standoff required under the board.

A simple round hole is provided for routing wires to the relay output terminals. A simple notch is provided for the signal, ground and power wires in case the large interlocking connector is used for the board connection.

The design is tailorable through several parameters in the openSCAD file. Like the generic case designs this is based on, it utilizes roundedCornerCube.scad and nophead's polyhole.scad.

The Rev A files reflect an update to my generic case improvement at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:643264. Those updates were mainly in parameter labels, paths to the roundedCornerCase and polyhole files, and general file structure. It it no longer necessary to obtain the polyhole file, since it is already included in the openSCAD MCAD library.

The Tinkerkit Relay Module provides a 10-amp relay with NO-C-NC connections. The relay operates off of 5V power and signal from an Arduino or similar processor. The relay input is buffered, so only minimal current is required to control the relay.
