RC Sailboat (1 Meter)

This is a 1 meter sailboat that is not built to conform to a specific class, but simply a fun project to build and enjoy.

It is designed to sail quickly up wind, in medium to heavy wind; its a conventional Bermuda Slop.

The sailboat uses the ballast bulb from the CR-914 class rc sailboat.

This is a somewhat challenging build, I would recommend understanding how to Glass a surface with carbon fiber cloth and epoxy, 3D printing (obviously), glueing (Super Glue, 30min Epoxy).

You will need:
-Epoxy
-Super Glue
-Filament (PLA, LW-PLA, PLA+, TPU)

  • Two 10mm x 10mmx 1meter Carbon Rods
-3mm Steel Rod (in keel fin and rudder)
    -Linkages
    -Reciever
    -4AA battery pack
    -Winch servo
    -1 standard servo
    -M4 screws, 10mm long (at least) (+ nuts/washers)
    -Control rod
    -One 27mm x 20mm x 4mm Bearing
-8mm OD Rod (For mast step) (close to 25mm in length)
