Summary

This is a snap on hand controller mount to attach a Nexstar handcontroller (or similarly sized device) to a tripod with 2 inch legs.

I printed mine at 200 degrees nozzle temp and 60 degrees bed temp.</p></div>

How I Designed This

Basic Design

            <div><p>I measured the tripod leg to be just over 50mm in diameter and measured the point at which I wanted the hand controller to sit in the holder to get the width. The tripod clamp is 48mm internal diameter which gives a decent holding force since it is only 25mm tall. </p><p>A future version of this is likely to be taller to add more surface area where it clamps to the leg and have sloped sides in the bracket that holds the controller for a more snug fit. </p><p>This was designed in OpenSCAD</p></div>                    <p class="detail-image"><img src="https://cdn.thingiverse.com/assets/f9/09/16/db/92/a53d79cf-f35d-4d8d-870c-4ff4f9f34dc9.png"></p>
