Groudon Pieces
Hey, A friend of mine wanted me to print Irnkman's model for his shelf.
Since this was one of my first prints, I was afraid to print it in a single piece with loads of supports, in case I missed an area.
Also, in case of a misprint I wanted to reduce the re-print time.
It's the same great model uploaded by Irnkman, just sliced into parts with notches to assemble the figure.
It was quite a challenge making clean cuts on an already triangulated and posed model, while maintaining function.
I had planned for the parts to be assembled with some glue for example at first but it turns out they're a pretty satisfying press-fit, on mine at least.
Feel free to adapt as you desire, I included the .blend file. It contains 2 collections, 1 is posed and the other is split up and flattened for printing.
I recommend you rotate and align the parts yourself depending on your machine and technique, you'll see I had some surface issues on the belly and the elements are packed too close.
I'll post a make with the creality print file and printer settings, I doubt they're any good, I had no idea what I was doing at the time.
