Ozito Battery - XU1 Tool Adapter
Battery adaptor for older style XU1 tools (NOT 'XU1 Blue') to use Ozito/Einhell battery.
The print uses 2 metal spring clips from a Reva brand cloths peg for the tool connection terminals, a third spring cut into lengths and bent into shape for the battery connector pins, and two trimmed spring clips to clip the adaptor to the tool. The battery clips and pins from each side are held in contact with each other by friction, this seems to work ok without any soldering.
The spring clips need deburring with a file on the inside of the clip where the terminals slot in, otherwise they will damage the tool terminals
Changes from source:
- Changed Xfinity tool adapter side to XU1
- Increased thickness for strength of battery clip
- Reduced clearance on clips (need a bit of force to get them in, but they don't need gluing. Can also heat the clips with a cigarette lighter and melt them in)
- Added retention clips to hold the adaptor to the tool
(Excuse the crack, I whacked the clips too hard to get them in)
