Azimuth Bearing for a 6 truss 8" Dobsonian telescope | Upper part
Hi - this is a modification for a Azimuth bearing for the ABSDBS-diy telescope from Alpaca (Reference: see below). Many Thanks for the interlocking idea: this has definetly influenced the rest of the telescope project as interlocking seems to be perfect for holfing parts just by friction or glueing thins together.
I found the orginal too complicated with the roller bearings. I tought of a friction based system. This one fits then to the azimuth bearing lower part,
As friction surface I chose a simple felt which you noramlly apply unter desks, closets and so on .
- fit to Ender3 V2 building plate 20x20 [cm]
- friction surface felt pad and at the other side the PETG w/o additions
- reduced overhang for track
