Destroyer Tank Hunter Upgrade

An attempt at an upgrade kit to turn the standard Leman Russ into a destroyer tank hunter without to much modification work. I used parts of Vontraggs excellent Destroyer Kit for another tank and the parts I did myself are at least heavily inspired by Vontraggs work.

Comments on the parts:
I think the original vehicle which seemed to have no means to direct its weapon beside moving the whole vehicle is pretty unpractical, therefore I designed a kind of ball-mount similar to the one for the Demolisher cannon at the Baneblade. The intention is that one cuts out a square of about 22 x 22 mm (not smaller than 21x21, not bigger than 24x24) right in front where the Hull-Lascannon would go. Then you glue "Housing_back" to the INSIDE of the hull. Select a weapon of your choice and place it in there. Add "Housing Front_V1" or "...V2", depending on how much elevation you need. V1 allows for about +57° to -5° elevation. V2 for about -5° to +63° with the laser destroyer and -5° to about +75° for the Demolisher an even up to 84° for the eradicator.
The possible angle left and right is of course smaller, but still much better than with a fixed weapon.

On the weapons:
Eradicator and Demolisher should be self explanatory and should measure up like the Leman Russ/Baneblade counterparts. As I imagine these weapons being bunker busters and indirect firing them would make a lot of sense, I reccomend using Housing Front_V2 with these
Destroyer_V1: the Laser destroyer with a kind of circular targeter on top, similar to Vontraggs
Destroyer_V2: the Laser Destroyer with a square targeter on top
Destroyer_V3: without targeter on the weapon

I tried my best to measure everything as precise as possible so that the top should fit on the Leman Russ upper hill without much work besides removing the little rivets and maybe the little half sphere in the rear left of the turret ring. The top adds about 7,5mm height to the hull which should still look reasonably flat.
The hole for the cuppulo has an 18mm diameter. I'm not sure right now if GW plastic cuppola would fit in there, maybe some sanding is required. I selected this size because I wanted to use Vontraggs cuppola.
Since Destroyer should occupy a lot of space inside I assume it makes more sense if the cuppola is offset to the side ("Top_offset") but if you prefer the cuppola centered, print "Top_centered" instead.

Have fun

Edit: 26.03.: corrected some issue with the eradicator

20.04.24: noticed an issue with the front of the gunhousing. As the Destroyer cannon now has a targeter, it doesn't fit through the hole of the front anymore (and the same problem will arise with the demolisher and Eradicator.
Therefore I changed the front of the housing a bit. It's now a two part solution. You'll need one "female" and one "male" part. If you want only one cutout (meaning the gun can be depressed a bit, but not raised extensively) take ""Housing_front_female" and "Housing_front_cutout_male". If you want cutouts on top and bottom (allowing to raise the gun to 70-80 degrees) you'll need both parts with "cutout".
