This is a remix of the brilliant Idea to put hoverboard motors on skateboard trucks. My first hover motor mounts had different bolt spacing, and I also shortened the bit that nuts on the truck, so the nut can get into the nylon locking bit. I think I will make another design a bit beefier.
I don't know why more peeps don't do this. Speed is limited to 20km/h which I can see as a turn off, but 48 volts gets you 26 km/h ish, and re connecting the motors to Delta from Y should get you 40km/h at 36v. I would love to collaborate and hear about other Electric vehicles people have made.
