SRAM Grip Shift X-Ray SRT 800X-11/81 Cover
I have a vintage Kien Mantra with SRAM's Grip Shift X-Ray SRT 800X-81 shifters. But during one of my rides years ago, I lost one of the cable guides covers. This cover not only kept the dirt out of the cable and mechanism, it also was used to hold the entire Grip Shift assembly together. After putting up with this minor annoyance for years, I now decided to fix it.
There are two files. SRT 800X-11-LH replaces the cover for the left Grip Shift, while SRT 800X-81-RH does the right shifter. I used PETG for mine. But I'm sure PLA would do the trick too. There are a couple of small overhanging tabs that are used to lock the entire mechanism together, so I used supports to ensure they were formed correctly.
For 3D printing purposes, I elected to make the exterior flat and without radii. Otherwise this is fairly close to the original parts and fits quite well.
