Newtonian Telescope Secondary Spider Diffraction Spike Apodizer

This specifically fits an Orion Skyview Deluxe 8" Newtonian telescope with a three-spoke spider on its secondary. I measured the diameter of the wire spider, and found them to be just under 4.4 mm. So I made the space 4.4 mm. These snap on to the spider.

Of course, they should be made from flat black PLA, or painted black.

The point of this is to break up the diffraction spikes of the three spider vanes, and reduce the resulting diffraction spikes in images taken through this telescope. This design is also meant to be a starter, something for others to springboard from. Much discussion has taken place on Cloudynights about Newtonian secondary apodizers.
