test piece for 149.33 gear, to prepare ideal slic3r and match dilation coefficients.
This is a piece from the middle of 149.33 planetary gear from Gear Down For What, so that you can find the ideal 3d printer settings, i.e. -0.06 mm XY Size Compensation at 100% size factor and base flare compensation -.3 mm, if you resize the STL smaller then clearance changes and you will have to find a different 3d printer setting for a specific size factor.
Also different plastics shrink from 0.2 to 1.5% as they cool so this is necessary to find a fit with different material types.
Keep the ring gear stuck to the adhesion bed after printing because it allows for more precise fit and rotation.
If you want to add metal to the gears, a steel tube with criss cross angle grinder marks on it fixed into the gears with a slow setting glue like ABS slurry, and a drain channel in the number end of the gears for the glue. carbon fiber tubes for kites with laminar fibers don't work though they are twisty.
have fun!
