Can you help me write a programming code or a formula to predict what planetary compounds with fixed planet driver will have what total output ratios prior to printing? For the moment I can't do the maths it's too complicated.
You can render scad mesh all in one run then use meshlab to split connected meshes and then make the lower pieces visible on the right visibility list, then select a visible and flatten all visible, then export collections of what you want to print at different times.
you will have to print the top sun and ring seperately or they will stick to the lower meshes, only the planets should be linked, so you'll have to cut the sun after with a razor blade and zip tie it into position. use gpt4o to find minor edits, i.e. it told me the cy variable is the cylinders when I queried. I dunno if these files have troubles yet, however if they run you can build massive 2 kilo versions of this gear in barrel format by reinforcing the center with steel tubes roughened with a grinder and glued with gorilla glue or E4000 which stays very viscious for application and has a sick gluing power. with steel the barrel gear will not flex and you can add bearings to the sun barrel steel, hope the polygear includes a high poly version, else you'd have to do a parametric version in fusio360, if you do please share here! cheers!
