SX-70 digital obscura camera adapter
These things help adapt an SX-70 camera to be able to take photos with a camera phone, specifically a Samsung S9, or any phone with a center mounted camera. The camera will need permanent modifications involving disassembly to flip the shutter open permanently and the bottom cut off to make room for the adapter.
To disassemble, remove the film door, front cover, and pry out the camera guts. Flip the solenoid lever to the shutter to open it, remove the battery terminals, then cut the bottom off the camera between the raised lines to the end. Reinsert the camera guts along with the front plate.
Check out https://www.instagram.com/p/C5WmfY0SN8S/ for instructions on how to modify the camera. Ignore the content after the camera is reassembled as the cartridge and adapter is printed.
Cut out a dispersion screen (Lee 400 filter works well) and place it inside the cartridge, then snap in the adapter to hold it into place. Glue an S9 case onto the S9 mount (STLs can be found on this site), being sure the camera is in the center of the hole, then mount it onto the adapter, inserting the tabs first and snapping it into place. Slide in the cartridge and mount into the Polaroid camera and reinstall the film door.
Set the S9 for Pro mode and 1:1 photos for best results. Set the focus to MF and dial in the focus so it won't focus seek all the time.
