Windshield mount for Yamaha MT-09 Gen4 (2024)

So I modeled a bracket to mount a Yamaha MT-09 Gen3 specific windshield to the new Gen4.

To mount it to the Gen4, you will need the OEM Yamaha windshield mount (or a replica), and the bolts and groomet-nuts that come with both windshield and OEM mount. The process is straight forwardn first mount the OEM bracket, then mount the printed bracked and then the windshield.

The result is a pretty good wind protection, it removes the air to the chest, but you will still feel it on the helmet.

I printed it in PETG at 0,20mm layer height, with 5 perimeters and 5 top and bottom layers, with an 80% giroid infill. After printing, I postprocecced with some wet 400 grit sanding, trwo layers of primer, two layers of black mate paint and two layers of mate clear coat. Still yet to see how it behaves when the bike is exposed to the sun, but probably It'd be better to print it in ABS or ASA.
