Hand Cranked Fan

A hand-held, hand-cranked fan that's great for cooling off on a hot day. Includes triple reduction gear train with a hand crank that actually works and a reasonably effective fan blade.

Update:
I found that the fan blade shaft was a bit fragile and would snap off at the lower c-clip. I redesigned to make it a little stronger (see the RevA versions of the bevel pinion shaft and fan blade). This redesign also eliminates the small c-clip. The only change to the assembly is that the fan blade goes on before the c-clip.
