Carnyx Kit V1

            <div><p>The parts labeled v1 are the ones I used to assemble my own full-sized carnyx, as seen in the pictures. However, they are not 'snap and fit' parts that can be easily clicked together; some adjustments will be necessary. It's important to note that these parts were made to fit the scrap pipes I had on hand. The long pipe and the curved pipe that goes down are not included, so you'll need to find suitable pipes and scale the parts accordingly. </p><p>Another thing to note is that the 'head' part in the v1 model requires a small notch to be cut out to fit in place due to the mane.</p><p>I attached the ears by drilling small holes in both the head and the bottom of the ears, then gluing in a piece of metal wire. This was a good solution because the ears can be easily folded down for easier transport. However, I later realized that the ears were bit too small, which is why I made the 'ear extensions.'</p><p>The mouthpiece is not included, as there are already plenty of trombone / piccolo tuba-style mouthpieces suitable for this available on Thingiverse. In my own carnyx, I used this one: <a rel="nofollow" href="/thing:60859">https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:60859</a><br>As a tip for optimal functionality, the mouthpiece should be printed rim-side up and at a high resolution to ensure smoothness for the best sound quality. I'll also make a suitable curved pipe, as those are harder to find ready-made in regular stores.</p><p>I'm also considering making a 3D-printed vertical pipe. Because why not? Once I've started this project, I might as well create a version that can be entirely 3D-printed. If not full-sized, then perhaps as a smaller scaled version for a wall decoration, for example</p></div>

Bluetooth speaker:

I got the idea to add a small bluetooth speaker inside this carnyx so at the very least, you can play authentic carnyx sounds through it if it doesn’t work otherwise :D That little mini speaker has a surprisingly loud and good sound! Especially if you place it right at the beginning where the horn starts, as the horn amplifies the sound significantly! However, doing so will block the airflow, and the carnyx can no longer be played "manually".
But if you place it higher up inside the mouth, it won't block the airflow, and the speaker is easier to operate. There is a bump at the bottom of the speaker holder that presses against the power button on the bottom of the speaker when you push it from the front. The long stick that goes to the back of the speaker holder is intended to lean against the back wall of the horn to prevent the speaker from falling into the horn when pressed.
