Hollow Asymmetrical Bricks Light Sculpture

Thought I'd try something different... in a number of ways.

I'm working on a light sculpture built of hollow asymmetrical bricks. Think of them as Gehry Legos. Eventually each brick will get a programmable RGB LED attached to the inner side.

I'll be adding the files for bricks as I make them. Files for the first three rings (from the bottom up) are attached. This way anyone who wants to can follow along at home. :)

2/16/2015 Update. Added the remainder of the Gehry Bricks and a ring for holding the LEDs.

For those of you not into programming, I'm using zero-based addressing for numbering rings and sections.

As the bricks have been accumulating I'm coming to see that it would be quite easy and inexpensive (except for bot time) to build very large light sculptures. This of course opens up some interesting possibilities. Note, as the bricks are hollow, they use relatively little PLA.

After assembling the sculpture I realized that it would have been much better to assemble each layer separately and THEN put the layers together. What I did was similar to building a brick wall. I added the "bricks" one by one on the layer below.
