Emergency Department Clamshell Thoracotomy Simulator

This model is based on a file from the NIH3D website. It recreates a human sternum and ribcage and was designed to be a low-cost, high-fidelity, 3D-printed simulator to allow surgery residents, specifically PGY4 rising trauma chiefs, to gain experience performing a clamshell thoracotomy. This model is designed to be mounted on thin cylindrical metal rails, fixed with springs to provide tension when placing retractors. Note: The STEP file for the top half of the model is available on this Thingiverse page, but the bottom half can be found on the Google drive linked on https://www.oshcsim.com/edt.
