Thin Magnetic Map Tile Frames for Betrayal games

what you need;
Turn print thin walls on.
requires 2x1mm magnets
you do not need to glue the magnets.
you will need to glue or solder the tile tops onto the bottoms.

update I added a magnet installer tool to make things easier

how to:
-when adding the magnets dedicate the right side to one pole and the left side to the other.
how to use the tool:

I designed the hinge to use an M3 20mm bolt. use whatever fits, and what you have on hand
I designed the botten to fit up to an 18mm x 5mm magnet. Use whatever fits and what you have on hand. You can drop the z-axis when slicing for thinner magnets.
you can print on and flip the magnet when installing each side or print two with opposite poles and label them.
I would get something small non-magnetic and stick-like, like a toothpick to help position the 2x1mm magnet then use the tool to press it in place.
Press the tile top on and glue or solder it together.

my card holders are a modified version of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5842900
to modify them as I did. increase the size by 102.5%. then uncheck uniform scaling and increase the Z-axis to 107.5mm.
not only will this be the correct size to fit half of the square tiles, but if stored on top of the manuals alongside of the dice tower (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2997857) not on top of the manuals, the cardholders will be at the same height making storage easier.
two cardholders will store all the tiles from both, the original 2nd edition and the expansion "widows walk" perfectly.

i printed https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5422022 to hold all the tokens for the 2nd edition and widows walk. and the lid is https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4114940 with the Y-axis increased to 116mm
