Summary

This is a freelance luggage/Guards van remixed from GE_Rik's third class Glyn Valley tramway coach to add the duckets, with seats by Caderifor. The remainder of the parts for this model can be found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5389446

Inspiration came from the Peco 009 coach and the Brooks 3d models version of the first class coach https://brooks3dmodels.com/#GVCF1 along with photos of the prototype on the Ffestiniog railway.

I have since adopted the use of a thin film of glue on the bed to assist with adhesion.</p></div>

Post-Printing

Clean up and glue up

            <div><p>The parts will require cleaning up to remove the brim check for fit before gluing up.  I have found it helps to have some angled blocks to assist with aligning the panels in the corners. held in place with mini spring clamps and a bit of tape on the outside of the corners.</p><p>Take care gluing up don't flood the join with superglue just a few small spots spread out with a cocktail stick will be enough, and done sparingly enough will also avoid glue coming through to the outside of the joint.</p><p>I painted the model with Hycoat grey primer and then SR Malachite green from Railmatch. </p></div>

How I Designed This

Design notes

            <div><p>As this was a remix I leaned heavily on the original design by GE_Rik.  This was sliced up into panels in Fusion 360 and then put back together as required.  The depth of the duckets was guess work and if it looks right it probably is.  Getting the sweep at the bottom was certainly in this category.</p><p>This completes a rake of three coaches but there is still the first class coach and saloon to come. </p></div>
