key cover for ProtoArc keyboard EK01 Plus

I recently got a new ergonomic keyboard and use the number pad frequently, but unfortunately, the design wasn’t ideal for my needs. The keyboard has four keys for switching between USB, Bluetooth 1, Bluetooth 2, and a lock screen key for locking the computer. This became problematic because I kept accidentally locking my computer or switching between USB and Bluetooth modes, causing the keyboard to stop working unexpectedly.

To solve this, I used my calipers to measure the keys and quickly designed a 3D-printed cover to block those four buttons. I secured it with a thin layer of two-way tape to hold it in place. To make it easily removable, I purposely got the tape a bit dirty with my fingers so it doesn’t stick too strongly. The cover is easy to remove when necessary, but it effectively prevents me from accidentally locking the computer or switching between the various input modes.

Overall, this little modification works great and has made the keyboard much more user-friendly for my needs.
