Desktop 80mm Fan Matrix Kit

Create a desktop fan using a matrix of standard 80mm computer fans. It can be just about any size matrix you want. All the parts are completely modular. You can make a 3x3, 2x2, 2x1, or whatever.

When assembled, the structure is solid and amazingly very low power. Mine registered just above 1 amp at 12 volts. Handy if you are out camping or have a power failure and just happen to have a nice high capacity battery laying around.

The grills are intentionally larger than the fan to create a gap so the wiring has room. There is a compartment in the bases so you can connect up the ends and tuck them out of the way.

You can either buy quality, cheap, or flashy fans. A cheap set of fans and screws should only cost about $25 for a 3x3 Fan Matrix.

Enjoy!
