Stair Gauge
Compact versatile stair gauge for taking accurate measurements quickly. Should work with any combination of tools having a thickness of less than 5.3 mm. It uses an M5 x .8 hardware and I chose to use a 20 mm screw so it can be operated like a thumb screw, no tools required, although I might add a friction fit knob to a shorter screw in the future.
During assembly, I flatten the end of the M5 screw to stop it from digging into my aluminum tools. To do this print a fraction of the model as shown or use the thru-hole part to stabilize the bolt for filing, as shown in the pictures. Finally, add a couple dabs of CA glue into each cavity then clamp them together. Print time with 0.4mm nozzle and .16 layer height was about 1.5 hours.
