In Star Wars Legends, the Ssi-ruuk are a saurian race found in their own star cluster on the edge of the Unknown Regions. They are xenophobic and rarely venture out into the Galaxy, as their religion condemns any who die on an unconsecrated world. The Ssi-ruuk use entechment technology to rip the life force out of other sentients to power their machines, condemning those souls to agony until their energy is used up. They attempted to invade Bakura twice: once after the Battle of Endor, and once during the late Yuuzhan Vong war, losing both times.

The Fw'Sen Picket was typically piloted by a crew of 13 P'w'eck slaves and 5 droids, though they can be remotely piloted. While they work as troop transports, they often were used as battering rams, slamming into enemy ships.
