Audeze EL-8 mini-XLR conversion
Despite being good quality headphones the headphone cables rapidly deteriorate over a few years needing replacement. The propriety plug on the EL-8 make finding cables difficult and very expensive.
This part creates an insert that replaces the connection. You need to cut off the old plug and solder the threaded mini-XLR connector of your choice (the LCD-2 uses a 4 pin connector) that can easily be bought on AliExpress for a few dollars. If wanting to use LCD-2 cables the two outer pins are negative while the inner two are positive. This also makes making replacement cable cheap and easy as any headphone cable can easily be modified.
