Kebnekaise, Sweden's highest mountain, is part of the Scandinavian mountain range in Lapland, 150 km north of the Arctic Circle near Kiruna and the Kungsleden trail. It has two main peaks: the southern glaciated peak, once the highest at 2,120 m, has shrunk by 24 m in 50 years, making the northern, ice-free peak the tallest at 2,096.8 m.
