Summary

This is a Tri-Bahtinov mask I designed using the calculator on Satoru Takagi's website.

It's a bit more complicated to use than a traditional Bahtinov mask but the illustration above (generated using the Maskulator software package) shows how to tell when you're in proper focus.

It should work on any telescope with a 110 mm outside diameter.

The last image shows the Eastern Veil Nebula taken using the Svbony SV48p 90 mm f/5.5 refractor and focused with the mask.

How I Designed This

Using Blender, I imported the SVG file from the calculator and traced the mask. I then extruded to make a Boolean to cut it from a cylinder.

In Blender, 1 unit (or 1 meter) equals 1 mm in real space when designing a print.
